Abstract:Most tungsten mineral raw materials contain fluoride, fluorine as a harmful impurity element throughout the tungsten smelting production links, and eventually into the production wastewater. Different tungsten smelting process produces different amounts of wastewater and components, current research on tungsten smelting wastewater defluoridation process mainly for ion exchange tungsten smelting process, for extraction method tungsten smelting wastewater defluoridation research rarely reported. Extraction method tungsten smelting process wastewater, F- content is usually 15~50mg/L, exceeding the F- discharge limit requirements in wastewater. In this paper, the pollution source identification and analysis method is used to analyze the behavior of tungsten smelting extraction method in each production link. Because of the high concentration of SO42- in wastewater, the removal of fluorine ions in wastewater is studied by the easy industrialization of aluminum salt precipitation adsorption method. The results show that the pH value and the amount of aluminum salt have a great effect on the fluoride removal effect. When the pH value is about 7, Al and F molar ratio is 3:1, the reaction time is more than 10min, and a better fluoride removal effect can be achieved. The cost of wastewater defluorination accounts for about 0.25% of the tungsten smelting cost.
