OA Policy
All articles published in Mining and Metallurgy since 2020 are open access works, immediately and permanently accessible to all readers free of charge upon publication. Readers can access Mining and Metallurgy articles on the homepage (http://ky.bgrimm.cn/), search using the search module, locate the desired paper, click to enter the paper's page, and download the PDF version. Readers can copy, distribute, and use these articles under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license. This license allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes only, and does not permit altering or editing the paper in any way. Before 2020, the journal operated on a subscription model, but to facilitate data dissemination, all articles can be downloaded for free from the official website of Mining and Metallurgy (http://ky.bgrimm.cn). The reuse of journal article content requires obtaining copyright permission and an appropriate citation. Articles before and after open access can be viewed or obtained through this website.
Author Rights
For open access publication, Mining and Metallurgy uses a copyright transfer agreement. Upon acceptance, all authors transfer the licensed copyright (including but not limited to reproduction rights, distribution rights, information network dissemination rights, translation rights, and editing rights) of the entire paper and its accompanying figures and tables to the Editorial Office of Mining and Metallurgy. Third parties may share the articles (e.g., deposit them in institutional repositories) in accordance with the Creative Commons license and may use them for other academic purposes, such as non-commercial academic discussion, communication, lectures, and teaching. When exercising the above rights under copyright law or transferring these rights to a third party, authors must not harm the interests of Mining and Metallurgy. For example, when compiling the article into other collections, it must be noted that the article was published in Mining and Metallurgy, specifying the year, volume, and issue. Authors agree to use the article after publication under the CC BY-NC-ND license.
Self-Archiving Policy
Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their article (preprint/submitted version, accepted version, published version/version of record) in an institution or other repository of their choice. However, it is necessary to indicate the publication information of the article in the metadata of the institution or other repository and cite it as the recommended reference.
Article Processing Charge
Mining and Metallurgy charges an article processing charge (APC), payable by the author, their institution, or a funding project. The standard fee is 3,000 CNY (or 450 USD) per article. The time from acceptance to official publication is generally 8–10 months. An expedited publication fee of 1,000 CNY (or 150 USD) per issue advanced is required for earlier publication. If the author is from a developing country or genuinely lacks project funds to pay the page charges, they may apply for a reduction or waiver.
Application Method: The corresponding author submits a written application stamped by the unit's scientific research management department to the editorial office, along with a contact phone number for that department.
