Abstract:
      A characteristic analysis of the control objects of an industrial flotation machine type KYF-38 developed in China is described in this paper. For detection of pulp level in a flotation machine a fuzzy concept on absence of marked difference between the pulp level and froth layer in a flotation machine is suggested. In addition, according to the air source in the aeration control circuit the method to increase proportionality (scale) of actuating mechanism and to set up controlled dead zone is adopted in order to improve aeration control performance. Under constant reagent and pulp feed conditions aeration rate and pulp level as parameters are used to control the metal contents in copper rougher froth. The control system with a distributed programing regulator works reliably and has flexible program. Its function can satisfy the requirement of design. This control system is commercially proved feasible and reliable.
