| Abstract: |
| The predominance area diagrams of Mn-Cl-O and Ag/AgCl systems show the stable products of silver and manganese at high temperature chlorination. Factors affecting the volatility of silver during high temperature chlorination were investigated in laboratory on the raw material from E REN TAO LEI GAI Inner Mongolia, China, revealing the relationship between volatility of silver and amount of calcium chloride, roasting time, temperature and pellet size. 95%-98% manganese remained in calcine in forms of Mn2O3 and MnSiO3. Under the optimum roasting conditions, the volatility of silver is 98.8% and the content of residual silver in calcine is 12.1g/t. |
