Abstract:
Nickel, copper, cobalt, iron and sulphur in high nickel matte were determined directly by XRFA using powder samples pressing method. SIEMENS Spectra 300 software package was used, and absorption and enhancement effects of interelements could be corrected by Lucas-Tooth intensity correction equation. The analysis ranges were as follows: Cu 20%-30%, Ni 40%-56%, Co 0.4%-0.9%, Fe 2.0%-5.0%, S 20%-26%. The results obtained by this method agreed with those obtained by chemical analysis. The precision of measurement was very high. Their RSD were Cu 0.28%, Ni 0.13%, Co 0.34%, Fe 0.56%, S 0.19%. This method has the features of accuracy, simplicity, cheapness and rapidity, etc, satisfactory to the high nickel matte metallurgy processing control.
