| Abstract: |
| The wet multi-disc brake is a new brake widely used in construction and underground mining machineries. The principle and structure features of wet multi-disc brakes used on semi-shafts are discussed in detail. The formula of brake moment is derived from analyzing the applied forces of press plate of the brake. The relationship of the axial clearance between brake plates and effective stroke of piston on the brake cylinder is derived from analyzing the relative displacement of press plate and steel ball. It has been proved in practice that the formulas obtained are correct and reasonable, being of universal significance.The theoretical basis will be provided for the design and application of the brakes in the future. |
