| Magnetic mill lining is a concept in which rubber covered strontium ferrite permanent magnets are arranged on the inside wall of a mill shell so that they attract magnetic susceptible materials such as ore, grinding media or tramp iron to form a protective layer over the magnets, resulting in an operating surface with longer life. Magnetic mill lining gives superior economy. The total lining thickness including the protective layer is much thinner than that of conventional mill lining, increasing effective mill diameter with a 5% increase in
throughput. Energy saving is proved up to 6.6%. |
