| Abstract: |
| In discussion of the reaction mechanism of phenol-formaldhyde, two methods of reducing the content of free phenol in the products were put forward. By comparison between these two methods in the tests,one of them,the method of adding urea was adopted.Through some tests, the optimum process parameters were determined. The content of free phenol was reduced from 1 8% to 5%. The cost of phenol-formaldhyde resin is reduced and the problem of overhigh content of the free phenol in phenol-formaldhyde resin has been solved. This method has been applied in the production of the phenol-formaldhyde hollow microspheres. The viscous matter in the pipeline is considerably reduced. |
