Abstract:
      The experiment on producing a composite burden by briquetting phosphorus raw materials using organic compounds shows that the resistivity of the composite burden is higher than that of traditional lump burdens at normal and high temperature.It is helpful for deep insertion of electrode and stabilization of production process during the smelting.Significant results obtained from the practical smelting in a 3000kVA electric furnace charged with 60% the composite burden indicated that electricity consumption was reduced by 15.5% and the output increased by 8.6%.
