| Abstract: |
| To serve the optimum design of mill liner, a new device for determining impact force was developed on the basis of the characteristics of medium impact motion on mill liner.The relationship between impact force and impact dynamic energy was obtained. Based on the theories on grinding medium motion in a mill, the impact speed, direction and points of the grinding medium on the liner could be calculated. Therefore, when a mill diameter and its operation parameters are given, the impact force exerted from the medium on the mill liners can be obtained by means of the simulation calculation presented in this paper. The calculated results can be applied to the quantitative design of mill liner strength. |
