| Abstract: |
| Coal is the dominant energy source in' China and air pollution is characterized by coal smoke. Therefore, in order to control coal smoke, especially sulphur dioxide, it is important to eliminate sulphur from the smoke. Of all desulphurization devices in the world, more than 80% use Wet method, among Which the lime or limestone-gypsum wet desulphurization technique is dominative. Based on current situations in China, the former Ministry of Electricity Power has specified the adoption of wet desulphurization method for large heat-engine plants in China. On the basis of information at home and abroad in the field and investigations on some key factors concerning the comprehensive utilization of desulphurized gypsum, this paper analyses the application prospect in terms of technology and economics and gives some practical suggestions. |
