Abstract:
A method for determination of calcium oxide in lead concentrate was developed by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The interference of lead matrix could be eliminated by adding pure lead in calcium oxide standard solutions. SrCl 2 and EDTA were selected as reliever agents. This method is simple and rapid in operation. The recovery of standard addition for calcium oxide is between 99% and 101%. The precision of calcium oxide is 3.04%. The method has been used in the determination of calcium oxide in lead concentrate. The results were satisfactory.
