| After the flash furnace's launder system for draining the melten copper in Guixi Smelter was successfully retrofitted, a series of problems, such as excessive smoke, over consumed graphite launder and higher cooled copper rate, etc., had been eliminated. As a result, the operation environment had been improved, the maintenance cost reduced and the utility rate of energy raised. In this paper, the reasons for retrofitting the launder system of flash furnace, the retrofitting plan, social and economical benifits resulted from the retrofitting were expounded. |
