| Abstract: |
| To study the damage of working lining in a torpedo car caused by thermal shock,the thermal stress distributions in single ASC brick and working lining of the car in the course of tapping and pouring are calculated using finite element method Intensity theory is regarded as the criterion to evaluate the effect caused by the calculated values of thermal stress The stress intensive area inferred on the basis of calculated values of stresses coincides with observed damaged area Based on analysis of heat transfer and thermal stress,some feasible measures both reducing heat loss and prolonging the life of the car are discussed |
