| By studying the physical and chemical properties of red mud,several flocculants for settling red mud both at home and abroad were compared The synergistic effect of a flocculant was discussed A new type of effective flocculant was developed and compared with other flocculants for settling red mud When using the new BKN 1 flocculant,an anionic polyfuctional group flocculant,to settle the red mud,the average settling rate of red mud in the first 10 minutes is up to 14 08 mm/min and the L/S ratio of red mud compressed is 3 18 The properties of BKN 1 for settling red mud match with that of MF 10 abroad And BKN 1 flocculant has the advantages of low dosage,low production cost,good limpidity and so on BKN 1 has a broad application prospect |
