Abstract:
A new technology for recovering tungsten and vanadium from the tungstate scrap was presented The process consists of 3 stages:1)purification of the leached solution with combined Mg and Al salts,2)selectively leaching vanadium by the formic acid,3)crystallization of high purity APT After the tungstate scrap is treated by use of the process, the concentration of V in the leach solution can be improved from 0 175g/L to 1 38g/L Consequently,86 96%V can be recovered as ammonium metavanadate and over 85%WO 3 can be recovered as APT The purity of APT reaches the Japanese national APT standard level
