| In No 2 Plant of the Greatwall Aluminium Industry Corporation,the foundation of chamotte kiln has run for over 40 year in the conditions of high temperature and dust For this reason,it has rotted,its protective layer has come off and the bottom steel bars have exposed The combined structure of steel and concrete was firstly and successfully used in reinforcement of the foundation The reinforcing scheme and the issues to which an attention should be paid in design and construction of combined structure mentioned in this paper may be useful to reinforcement of other foundations |
