| Abstract: |
| The ceramic-lined pipes have advantages of corrosive resistance, wear resistance, heat resistance and insulation and can be extensively used in many industries. The centrifugal self-propagating high temperature synthesis, formed by combining the centrifugal casting technology with self-propagating high temperature synthesis (SHS), is characterized by simple process, high productivity, energy saving and low cost. The SHS-centrifugation technology opens up a new way for manufacture of ceramic-lined pipes. Authors summarize the alumino-thermic reaction principle for centrifugal SHS ceramic-lined pipes and the measures improving the properties of SHS ceramic-lined pipes. Especially, the development of ceramal and ceramic resin composite lining tubes has promoted the wider application of SHS ceramic lining tubes in pipeline industry. |
