| Abstract: |
| China has rich resources of hard coal-series kaolinite rock.Out of urgent demand on developing technical market for high-quality calcined kaolin products,the lab tests on calcination of Shuozhou coal-series hard kaolinite rock are done based on the process mineralogy study.The effect of calcination temperature,grinding fineness,ore quality and calcination method on the product whiteness is investigated.An additive for effectively increasing the product whiteness has been developed.Based on comparison tests,the process flowsheet of grinding-calcination for producing the calcined kaolin products is selected.The test results have verified that rotary kiln semistationary bed dynamic calcination has the advantage over the static calcination.For this season,the rotary kiln calcination plan is proposed.Finally,the principle process flowsheet for developing and ultilizing Shuozhou kaolinite rock to produce completely-calcined kaolin was determined.Besides,it is pointed out that careful choice of raw material must be stressed. |
