| Abstract: |
| Trace silver and bismuth in lead metal are simultaneously determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer. The optimum instrument working conditions are selected. The disturbance of lead matrix on the determination of silver and bismuth and its elimination are investigated in detail. In sulfuric acid medium, the matrix lead will settle to the bottom of the flask as the type of lead sulfate.Matrix matching can eliminate the matrix effects of lead and non-mass spectrometric disturbance. This method can determine silver and bismuth more than 0.00001% in a lead metal sample. The recoveries of standard addition for silver and bismuth are between 96% and 103%.The proposed method is a quick and accurate way for simultaneous determination of trace silver and bismuth in lead metal. |
