| Abstract: |
| Chambishi Copper Mine is an oversize copper mine with a simple mineral composition.The designed flowsheet consists of open-circuit rougher and scavengers-middlings regrinding.The copper minerals in ore are uneven in dissemination size and some are fine.Using the designed flowsheet to treat the ore,some copper minerals lose mainly as poor copper intergrowths and entrapped intergrowths in flotation tailings.A new process flowsheet in which the tailings is classified and the coarse tailings is returned to regrinding is proposed in this paper.With the new process,some coarse tailings with Cu content of 1% are returned to regrinding,increasing copper recovery by about 5% and reducing copper loss. |
