| Abstract: |
| In order to investigate pollution of the river near to a metal mine,a great number of river-water samples were taken and analyzed for the pH,ions of Pb,Zn,Cd,As and U,COD and BOD for six months On the basis of testing results,Pb,Zn,Cd,As and U ions were taken as the factors to assess the heavy-metal pollution of the river Also, the intimated method and synthetic indicator method were used to treat the achieved data and get the pollution indexes for monitored sections of the river The assessment results show that the river water has been seriously polluted by the heavy-metal ions, and the total pollution index is up to 25 08 The concentration of heavy-metal ions decreases along the flowing direction and partial pollutants subside along the river In summary, the investigation practice can be taken as a referring example for similar cases |
