| Abstract: |
| In sarma method for slope stability analysis,the calculation on force balance is done,followed by checking the correctness of calculated stability coefficient by the moment balance of all slices.However,it has been found that there is no moment calculation in some computer programs, and the incomplete fit of l_i with Z_i in others can result in wrong conclusion.In this paper,the shortages of primary validating method are pointed out and an improved method in which all of possible slice balances are considered is put forward on the basis of analyzing a practical example. |
