Abstract:
      The agglomeration phenomenon of the charged smoke particles was investigated by using the electric-fluid mechanics and transport theory of external force field.The theoretical expression for the agglomeration rate of the smoke particles was developed based on several assumptions.By establishing a model for electrostatic precipitator,the agglomeration mechanism of the charged particles was studied further.The results show that the agglomeration of the charged smoke particles is affected by surface charge distribution,charge quantity,particle size,charge polarity and so on.Regardless of unipolar or bipolar coronas,the agglomeration of smoke particles takes place,but the agglomeration between the positive particles and negative particles is limited within a certain distance.
