Abstract:
On the basis of thermodynamic analysis, the technology for recovering W,Mo,Cr and V metals in the form of secondary alloy from scale of high-speed steel by silicon-thermal was studied. The effects of lime, reducing reagent and unit thermal on metal recoveries were analyzed. The results, with the W and Mo recoveries over 95%,the Cr recovery greater than 72% and V recovery not less than 45%,show that the technology is feasible for treating metallurgical materials. The product quality is stable and can meet the need of steel-making.Remarkable social and economic benefits have been gained owing to the full utilization of high-speed steel waste.
