| Abstract: |
| In this paper the process parameters,such as bed depth of grate,gas temperature of updraught drying and downdraught drying,temperature and velocity of preheating gas in production of oxidized pellets through grate-kiln,were studied by preheating grate simulator.Self-produced magnetite concentrates from Chengchao Mine, with 1.0%1.2% of bentonite being added as an additive,were adopted in the study.In the test,before palletized,the concentrate was treated by damp milling technology.On the drying and preheating condition employed in this study, the cold compression strength of the fired pellet, after dried through the grate and roasted in a test kiln, averaged 2828N/P, the tumbler strength(+6.3mm)was about 93%,and the abrasion index((-0.5mm))was 3.53%,FeO<1%. The fired pellet ranked among the high grade in terms of its good quality. |
