| Abstract: |
| In continuous casting process,the flow rate of the secondary coolng zone should change with the casting conditions,such as,steel grade,section size,casting speed,so as to improve production quality.In this paper,the secondary cooling water system for No5 rectangular billet caster in the second steel-making plant of Anyang Iron & Steel Group Co.Ltd is introduced.Based on metallurgical criterion and heat transfer mechanism,the optimal water flow rate of the secondary cooling zone is calculated according to practical process and caster parameters.On the basis of the water flow rate calculated by the model,the actual water flow rate of the secondary cooling zone is controlled so as to achieve the best cooling effect. |
