| Abstract: |
| To improve low-intensity magnetic separation is of great importance for recovering and upgrading strongly magnetic minerals. Experiment on Panzhihua iron ore with wet low-intensity magnetic drum separator shows that, in the case of enough magnetic force, high drum velocity does not deteriorate the separation, but intensifies the discharge of the gangue mineral particles trapped by magnetic flocculation, favorable to upgrading the concentrate, so as to improve the product quality. As a conclusion, the paper suggests a further study on effect of optimizing the drum velocity of magnetic separator in treating Panzhihua iron ore should be carried out. |
