Abstract:
The ash sluicing water discharged from coal firing power station is alkaline, and will pollute the surroundings if discharged directly. This research discusses a treatment of ash sluicing drainage with high pH carried out in Zhenhai power plant. The research takes advantage of waste sulfuric near to the plant and uses it as the acid in treatment of the ash sluicing water. The site where the acid is introduced is determined at ash transportation duct of 4.7km apart from plant, with 0. 102L/m^3 acid being added. The effluent water quality after treatment reaches the second degree of integrated wastewater discharge standard, and furthermore, the treatment abates scale building up in the duct. This technology is mature and feasible, can provide practical experience for other coal-firing power plant in treatment ash sluicing draining water with pH higher than the requirement of standard.
