Abstract:
      The method of analytical calculate the magnetic field and the magnetic force inside and outside a ferromagnetic ellipsoidal ball placed in a boundless even external magnetic field, together with its contribution to magnetic separation, is given. In the calculation the long axis of the ellipsoidal ball is parallel to the external magnetic field. The corresponding relation betweent the orthogonal coordinates and the ellipsoidal coordinates of the special points is presented. It is convenient for calculating the magnetic field and the magnetic force at every point with the formulas in this paper and for research on magnetic separation.
