| Abstract: |
| In this paper,one strain,which was named M_1,with excellent ability of flocculating kaolin suspension was isolated and studied.The experiments showed optimal flocculating activity of the bioflocculant from M_1 was presented during the late period of the stationary phase.Investigation on the constitute of culture media showed that the best nitrogen source was urea,meanwhile carbon source like starch,maltose and xylose were more suitable for M_1's synthesization and bioflocculant generation.Flocculating efficiency can be increased by adding many metal ions,especially the ferric and trivalent aluminum salts and the flocculating substances produced by M_1 was more effective when the pH of the suspension was at the range of 8 and 11. |
