| Abstract: |
| A FEM/FDM method is used to model the powder injection molding under the Hele-Shaw approximation with the control volume method dealing with the moving boundary. The mid-surface is discretized by FEM, and the thickness direction is discretized by finite difference method. The pressure equation and the energy equation are used to solve in sequence. Valuable data can be resulted numerically from the simulation of temperature, pressure and velocity fields. |
