Abstract:
There are two opinions, alkali metasomatism and skarnization on the Han-xing iron ore formation in China. This work proves alkali metasomatism and skarnization are the two outcomes of one chemistry reaction. The magma develops to the Na and Fe rich directions and the alkali metasomatism and skarnization accumulate the Fe content in the residual magma and the hydro-thermo fluid. The iron ore is deposited when the residual magma and the hydro-thermo fluid change from acid to alkalic and the environment changes from close to open. The alkali metasomatism and skarnization begin in the later magma stage.
