Abstract:
      In this paper, the finite element model of close wet multi - disc brake is build. To aim at the thermal - elastic destabilization of the disk, the conditions of contact force between two discs and the distribution of transient temperature in the disc are analyzed using ANSYS. The results show that contact force between two discs along radial direction is not homogeneous, which result in non - uniform input heat flow density of the friction disk. The great gradient of temperature along radical direction leads to the distortion of the friction disk. It is necessary to consider the influence of contact force condition and transient temperature distribution when construction designing and material selecting.
