| Abstract: |
| With low utilization efficiency, the energy consumption is extremely high during coal grinding process. By the fractal principle, a continuous model for grinding energy consumption is established to find effective ways for lowering the energy consumption. The influences of the fractal dimensions of surface and the shape factor of particles on the energy consumption are analyzed. It is proved that the small particles cost the dominant part of the energy consumption. The grinding energy consumption goes up with the increase of the surface fractal dimension sharply. The more irregular the particle shape is, the more grinding energy is needed. |
