| Abstract: |
| The causes of the high flotability of Jinchuan gangue minerals are discussed by the characteristic study on the original ore, the XPS surface analysis of the sulfide minerals and the SEM and EDS statistics and comparison of the gangue minerals in the concentration and the tail. It shows that a magnesium compound is formed on the sulfide mineral surface and valleriite and tochilinite are formed on the serpentine surface. The for- mations of valleriite and tochilinite on the serpentine surface also cause the serpentine transform to talc, so the serpentine surface is a phase of talc or a transition phase from serpentine to talc and this is the cause of the high flotability of Jinchuan gangue minerals. |
