Abstract:
Plating grade copper sulfate is prepared from low-grade copper oxide ores by leaching, extraction, back extraction, crystallization and purification process. The effects of extractant concentration, O/A ratio, extraction time and sulfate acid concentration on extraction rate are investigated. The results show that the leaching rate of copper is up to 65% after the low-grade copper oxide mineral is leached by sulfate acid. The extraction rate is up to 90% after copper is extracted by M5640 when extractant concentration is 20%, O/A ratio is 1/3, extraction time is 120 s, sulfate acid concentration is 1.5g/L, diluent is kerosene. The purity of plating grade copper sulfate is 93.35% after the loaded organic phase is treated by back extraction, crystallization and purification process of strip liquor.
