| Abstract: |
| Fly ash was waste from coal combustion. It could adsorb and decolorize dye molecules because of large surface area. This study focused on the adsorption decolorization of fly ash modified with sulphuric acid on reactive brilliant red dye wastewater. Experimental results showed that concentration of sulphuric acid, activation temperature, dosage of fly ash, pH and initial concentration of wastewater affect the adsorption activity of fly ash. When sulphuric acid concentration was 7 mol/L, activation temperature was 300℃,dosage of fly ash was 10 g/L , concentration of reactive brilliant red dye wastewater with pH value of 10 was 20 mg/L,the decolorization rate of wastewater could up to 97.8%. |
