Abstract:
It is very important to study ondeterminating the total iron in laterite nickel ore fast and accurately .The flux Na2O2 is used for sample decomposition. In HCl medium,Fe3+ is reduced by tin chloride-titanium trichloride. The total iron in nickel-bearing laterite is titrated by potassium dichromate standard solution with sodium diphenylamine sulfonate as indicator. The optimal analytical conditions are determined. The influence of high content coexist ions is investigated. The method is of following characteristics: simple operation, short process, less interference, and good precision and accuracy, which can meet the requirements of laterite nickel ore in the determination of total iron.
