Abstract:
Cobalt and aluminum were leached from residue after molybdenum extraction of spent Co-Mo catalyst by sulfuric acid. The acid concentration, L/S (mass) ratio, the quantity of additive, reaction temperature, immersion time, stirring speed and granularity of the material are researched as the factors that influence the leaching rate of cobalt and aluminum from residue after molybdenum extraction. As the study shows, the additive doesn't influence the leaching rate of Al2O3 as the carrier of catalyst, but it can enhance the leaching rate of cobalt obviously. The best technological conditions are as follows: acid concentration 12mol/L, L/S (mass) ratio 10, leaching temperature90℃, immersion time 180min, stirring speed 800r/min, granularity of the material 0.07mm-0.096mm. Under this condition, the leaching rates of Co and Al could reach 92% and 74%.
