Abstract:
This paper study that taking off the chlorine from zinc dross based on the characteristic of the chloride having good ability of absorbing the microwave and being heat up fastly by the method of microwave roasting .aim at solving the problem of recycling the zinc dross because of its high level of chloride .the effect of the temperature 、holding time and stirring intensity on the dechlorinate of zinc dross was investigated. The microstructure was investigated using SEM, and the level of the chloride was tested by the method of Chlorine ion selective electrode. The results show that under the conditions of temperature 700℃,holding time 60min and stirring speed 15 r/min, the content of chloride in the zinc dross and the chloride removal rate are 0.13% and 88%,respectively.Contrast to the the traditional pyrometallurgical processing such as rotary kiln, and more furnace chamber roasting ,the treatment of microwave roasting have the advantage of quick heating, not easy to sintering, low heating temperature, high efficiency of declorinate and low zinc lost rate.
