Abstract:
Using the new process of direct sulfuric acid leaching with leaching aid, pilot test on extraction of vanadium from stone coal with the capacity of 1.2t/d was performed. Results showed that under following optimum conditions: two stage leaching with the first stage temperature of ambient, leaching time of 1.5h and the second stage temperature of 900℃ and leaching time of 8h, concentrated sulfuric acid addition of 25%, leaching aid addition of 2.5%, a desirable leaching effect can be obtained with the vanadium leaching rate maintaining around 86%; As to the solvent extraction circuit, 6 stages of extraction, 1 stage of washing, 4 stages of vanadium stripping and 2 stages of iron stripping were adopted. The extraction rate of vanadium was above 99% and stripping rate 98.6%; extraction rate of main impurities of iron and aluminum were 2~3% and 12~15%, respectively.
