Study on Semi-Weathered-Type Ilmenite in Some Place by Mineral Processing New Technology

Abstract:
      The mineral samples, taken from some place in Yunnan,were a semi-weathered-type ilmenite.It was found that the milling grades of TiO2 and TFe in the mineral samples were 5.42% and 12.02%, and the main titanium-bearing mineral and iron-bearing mineral in the mineral samples were ilmenite and titanic magnetite. Primary concentrate of titanium which was by first concentration through high grads magnetic sparation machine was employed the concentration technology of shaking table in general.And this research raised creatively a new concentration technology which was “spiral chute-high-intensity magnetic separation”,in order to solve the problem which was hard to build the larger group of mineral processing plant,because of large area and a large number of shaking tables. The mineral samples employed “coarse grinding-high-intensity magnetic separation-concentration by spiral chute-regime of primary concentrate of titanium-concentration by high-intensity magnetic separation” , and ,finally,the results turned out that the concentrate grades of two different sections, namely TiO2 and TFe,soared to 41.63% and 54.74%.Meanwhile,the concentrate recoveries of the two elements have been up to 38.23% and 14.80%.
