| Abstract: |
| In this paper tests on comprehensive recovery of complex cobalt sulfide ore with Mn 19%, Co 8% are carried out. The main process flow-sheet is “pre-leaching to remove Mn--sulfating roasting—leaching--SX”. Two stage countercurrent leaching process was chosen to decrease the Co leaching ratio and enhance the Mn concentration in the solution. The leaching ratio of Mn is above 85%. And the manganese sulfate solution can be evaporated to produce manganese sulfate or precipitated to produce manganese carbonate. The residue was sulfating roasted to recover cobalt and nickel, the effect of roasting temperature and reaction time on the Co extraction are tested. And the cobalt leaching ratio is above 95% after sulfating roasting. |
