Abstract:
The copper-nickel ore in Madang Province of Papua New Guinea contains copper 0.26%,nickel 0.63%.According minerals’ characters, adopt a closed test circuit flowsheet which has one roughing, two scavenging and one concentrating copper-nickel mixed floating; middlings order returned. Under the conditions of the grinding fineness -0.074mm accounted for 80%, the amount of sodium hexametaphosphate is 1500g/t, the amount of CMC is 400g/t, the amount of butyl xanthate is 200 g/t, the amount of 2# oil is 10g/t get the better dressing indexes. The copper-nickel concentrates" copper grade is 4.50 %, nickel grade is 9.22 %, copper recovery rate reaches 86.52 %, and nickel recovery rate reaches 72.73 %.
