Abstract:
This paper describes the experimental study of copper extraction using M5640 from the pressure leaching liquor of lead matte which was obtained under the specific conditions. The performance of extraction and stripping using different concentrations of extractant, the ratios A/O, mixing times are investigated, and the several multi-stage counter current extraction experiments were also carried out. Finally, it is concluded that 98.13 of copper can be extracted from the primary liquid by using the system of 40% extractant, O/A=1:1 and adopting five counter-current extraction method.
