| Abstract: |
| There are a large amount of useful resources such as iron, rare earth, niobium in the tailings of Baogang Dressing Plant, however, the iron content is just approximately 16.1% and belongs to hematite. Magnetic roasting followed by magnetic separation is an effective way to recover iron from it. Experiment results on magnetic roasting and magnetic separation show that the optimal roasting condition is dosage of reducing agent 8%, temperature 700℃ and roasting time 60min, then roasted ore is ground to -0.045mm accounting for 86%. The optimal magnetic intensity is 111.5kA/m. On the basis of these results, magnetic roasting-grinding -roughing-concentrating test is carried out, and the final concentrate of iron content 63.49%, iron recovery 67.05% can be obtained. |
