Abstract:
Ignition and combustion performance of B, Mg/B blends and Mg/B composite powders were determined by thermal analysis, oxygen bomb analysis and laser ignition test bench. The thermal analysis results show that Mg/B composite powders can improve the degree of oxidation and reduce the oxidation reaction temperature of boron; Oxygen bomb analysis results show that Mg/B composite powders can improve the combustion efficiency of boron; Laser ignition test results show that Mg/B composite powders can significantly improve ignition properties of boron.
