| Abstract: |
| Because of its special physical and chemical properties and nuclear properties, the high purity hafnium has broad application prospects in the field of nuclear reactor and aerospace industries. In this paper, preparation methods of high purity metal hafnium are summarized, that is, the molten salt electrolysis, iodide refining, electron beam melting and electron beam floating zone melting. The principle and research progress of these methods are outlined, and the advantages and disadvantages of each preparation method are analyzed. In order to obtain high purity metal hafnium, it often needs to combine some of the above preparation methods in the industrial production. |
