Abstract:
The occurrence state of Co in Co-rich crust from the Pacific Ocean are investigated by the means of the scanning electron microscopy, optical microscopy and the chemical selective dissolution. The grade of Co is 0.21%. The main occurrence state of Co in the sample is Fe, Mn hydrous oxides, independent cobalt minerals are not found. It is indicated by the results of the dissolution experiment that cobalt dissolution and manganese leaching are synchronous.
